Yusuf Epçin

Born in 1995 in Çanakkale, Turkey, Yusuf Epçin initially studied Business at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, graduating in 2017. Although his academic path led him elsewhere, his true passion for visual art steadily grew stronger. By 2021, he shifted his focus entirely to artistic production, and in 2022 he left his professional career to pursue art full time.

His practice balances two seemingly opposite yet equally captivating approaches. In some works, he fragments landscapes with angular projections of light and virtual-like forms. In others, he draws upon vibrant color and textured brushwork reminiscent of Impressionism. This duality allows his paintings to move between distortion and memory, offering viewers both immediacy and reflection.

In 2023, he presented his first solo exhibition at Sanat Sever Gallery in Çanakkale. Two years later, in 2025, his work was recognized internationally when he was selected for Saatchi Art’s Rising Stars.
